World Nature Conservation Day is observed on 28th July all over the world with the objective of increasing awareness about and protecting the natural resources that the Earth is bestowed with. The natural world is facing an ever increasing threat from unsustainable practices and the challenge is how to preserve and conserve nature in the process of achieving sustainable development. So it is necessary to understand what ‘Sustainability’ truly means and also it is important to inculcate environment-friendly habits to lead a Green Lifestyle. World Nature Conservation Day recognizes that a healthy environment is the foundation for a stable and productive society and to ensure the well-being of present and future generations, we all must participate to protect, conserve, and sustainably manage our natural resources.
