The efforts to set up the State’s first mangrove museum at Koyilandy is gaining momentum with the decision of the municipal authorities to acquire nearly 13 acres of mangrove field with the support of the State government.
The municipality is awaiting the final nod from the State government for a detailed proposal submitted mentioning the importance of the project and the need to acquire the mangrove field, now under the control of private parties in the region.
